However, a majority of the population has changed to consuming polished or refined grains rather than wholegrain products, and most people are unaware of the various benefits that whole grains have to offer. »
The Malaysian Dietary Guidelines 2010 was launched on 25 March 2010, in conjunction with the 25th Scientific Conference of the Nutrition Society of Malaysia. »
The proposed Allied Health Professional Act (AHP) Act is to ensure that Nutrition Science is practised by appropriately qualified professionals. Only graduates from university programmes that provide adequate training to enable them to carry out the required roles shall be recognised for registration as a Nutritionist under the proposed AHP. »
