Malaysian Dietary Guidelines 2010

The Malaysian Dietary Guidelines 2010 was launched on 25 March 2010, in conjunction with the 25th Scientific Conference of the Nutrition Society of Malaysia. The soft copy of this Guidelines is now available on MOH website http://www.moh.gov.my.

Announcements Registration of nutritionists under the proposed Allied Health Professional Act
The proposed Allied Health Professional Act (AHP) Act is to ensure that Nutrition Science is practised by appropriately qualified professionals. Only graduates from university programmes that provide adequate training to enable them to carry out the required roles shall be recognised for registration as a Nutritionist under the proposed AHP.

Nutrition Society of Malaysia (NSM has been requested by the Ministry of Health Malaysia to recommend university degrees that can be recognised for registration (i.e. the registrable qualifications) as a Nutritionist under the proposed AHP Act.

Announcements Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease Workshop - 25 & 26 March 2010
IJN is organizing our first Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease Workshop which will be held on 25 & 26 March 2010 at Auditorium, IJN, Kuala Lumpur.

The Registration form is incorporated into the attached brochure with the program details and the cost of workshop will be RM400 per person.
